This is the deck at Bear Hug. We grilled steak out here one night and spent some relaxing time in the hot tub.

The Greenbrier enterance to the park is really close to the cabin. About 2 miles in we saw this stream right next to the road

There are some nice hiking trails at Greenbriar. We started to take the long hike to Ramsey Falls but it was too late in the day to go all the way. Mabey next year.

One night we went to the Tenessee Smokies game. They are the AA minor leage team of the Chicago Cubs. We had a hot dog and a couple of beers. My only regret was that I wanted to get my picture taken with their manager Ryne Sandburg, but he was at the Hall of Fame cerimony that day.

Cades Cove is a great place to spend a day. The admission is free, and worth every penny. When the National Park was created in the 1930s this was a farming community in a valley. The buildings were preserved and are now open to the public.

Mill at Cades Cove. The original machinery is still working. You can watch them grind corn.

Gatlinburg and Pigon Forge are about 10 miles away. They have a lot of attractions, shops, and places to eat. We usually avoid those places, but they can be interesting.

Hen Wallow Falls is a nice hike you can take starting at the Cosby Campground park entrance. This end of the park is not close to Gatlinburg, so not very many people come here. When we got to the falls, we sat there for about 20 minutes all alone before someone else showed up.
